About Alannah
I have had a huge interest in languages from an early age, from having to hold my nose to say 'non' properly in a French accent to choosing to move to France more than once. I recently spent the summer season working in Nice and I also completed an Erasmus study abroad programme in Rennes. Camogie was my first love and I credit most of my organisational skills to playing on several teams while still excelling in my studies. More recently, I have moved on to try out rugby and half marathon running!

French for Leaving Cert is very manageable once you know where to start! The lesson plan is ultimately up to you, but we will touch on the key areas in grammar, how to go about the written section and other tips and tricks for the listening and reading comprehensions. The typical length of a lesson is one hour. I have 2 years' experience giving grinds for both Leaving and Junior Cert level. I have recently graduated from UL with a first-class honours degree in Applied Languages (Irish and French) with TESOL and Linguistics.

I received Irish grinds throughout my leaving cert from Alannah. She is a very patient teacher. I always felt comfortable asking her questions. I would highly recommend
I can’t recommend Alannah more for Irish grinds! I really like how straight forward and to the point she is! She is so thorough and takes careful measures in helping me grasp concepts in the language that are difficult ! Alannah has excellent organisational skills as well as fantastic communication skills. She has a top class understanding of Irish.
I know Alannah from college, she is very dedicated to learning both Irish and French and it is shown through her lessons. Alannah is very patient and encouraging. I found the lesson very helpful :)
