About Alyssa
Hello, and welcome to my academy. My name is Alyssa (Ah-lee-ss-ah) and I am a third year university student. I have over five years of tutoring experience, as well as childcare experience. I have level C first aid and CPR certification, clear CRC with vulnerable sector, clear intervention check, and 8 years of ongoing child care experience; needless to say, your kids are safe with me! I graduated high school with honor roll distinction in 2022, successfully completed AP English (literature and composition), and am currently in a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Anthropology and History, where I maintain a GPA 3.5 and above. I have a passion for learning and I love to instill curiosity in young minds. Along with my experience working with those that have ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD, I myself have ADHD; basically, I understand what you or your kid is going through. I love reading, writing, science, and history. In my free time I also love to crochet. I am a respectful, quiet, and empathetic individual. The Academy is a tutoring service run by me (Alyssa) to help students of all ages succeed in their studies. I specialize in helping those who are neurodiverse find strategies that help them learn. At the Academy, I strive to make learning an enjoyable activity instead of a necessary evil. At the Academy, learning is tailored to each individual's needs. Personalized learning maps and lesson plans will be created for each client. My goal is to supplement learning, not replace it or be the only source of education. This is not a formal academic institute.
