About Shuvashree
I’m Shuvashree — a Cambridge Facilitator based in Pune, where I try to convince teenagers that society is way more interesting than their Instagram feed.
With a Political Science + Sociology background from graduation and a Master’s in Political Science and Public Administration, I’m on a mission to do two things: push meaningful research forward, and get students to fall down the rabbit hole of social theory willingly.
Off the clock, you’ll find me with my nose in a book, binging international cinema with subtitles, or cooking something elaborate just because I can. Basically: equal parts Durkheim, subtitles, and spices

As a Sociology teacher, I’d spark interest by showing students that the subject is everywhere in their daily lives, not just in textbooks. Each lesson starts with clear, concise learning outcomes like Students will be able to evaluate how social media acts as an agent of socialisation shaping youth identity.
Pedagogically, I lean on *active, inquiry-based methods, Socratic circles drive debates on deviance and social control, where students question laws, peer pressure, and school rules. Role-plays explore status, role conflict, and identity, while mini-research tasks introduce qualitative methods and ethical considerations. This directly builds Cambridge skills: analysis, evaluation, research, and communication.
