About Amaya
I am a first year student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in English and Theatre Studies and History. Having been homeschooled during middle and high school, I found tutors immensely helpful to my learning journey. I really loved learning while at school and hope to help my students love this subject as much as I did, while teaching them the skills necessary to succeed. I hope to impart my love for theatre, especially Shakespeare, and poetry to my students!

My lessons will focus on honing the key skills required to understand and master the topics at hand. I use spaced repetition specifically to ensure that the teaching material is learnt in an effective manner. My classes will follow the CIE Syllabus and Learning Guide so that the course syllabus is covered in full. The typical length of a lesson is 30 minutes (KS2, KS3 level) to 1 hour (GCSE and IGCSE level). I have completed 7 IGCSE subjects (A*, A*, A*, A*, A*, A*, A) and 3 CIE A Levels (A*, A*, A*). I received a Cambridge Learner Award for the Highest Marks in First Language English in India. My lessons are aimed at middle school and high school students, aged 11-16, who are learning at the KS2, KS3 and IGCSE level.
