About Consuela
Hi, my name is Consuela and I am 18 years of age and have been playing French Horn for 9 years at an AMusA level. I have placed 2nd place and highly commended awards in Sydney Eisteddfod Brass Competitions and won the U15 Section of the 2020 Online State Solo Festival as a soloist. I am involved in numerous musical groups, such as school bands, orchestras and chamber groups, as well as being involved in the Rising Stars Program at the Sydney Conservatory of Music from 2018-2023. I am currenting studying a Diploma of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium. I am passionate about music and enjoy spreading and teaching knowledge to younger musicians.

I am excited about cultivating a supportive and encouraging environment for my students and drawing from personal experiences in my musical journey to help motivate and engage students in theirs. In my lessons, I focus on both technical and piece work for AMEB exams, personal interests or band repertoire. I have experience playing the French Horn and Violin, as well as continuously expanding my music theory knowledge. So far, I have tutored a student for grade 4 French Horn with a result of a High Distinction. I can teach beginners, casual players and French Hornists from grades 1-6 and will cater to student interests in different musical styles in their repertoire with ages ranging from 5-13. The typical length of a lesson can range from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the student.
