About Erik
If you want to SELL YOUR SCREENPLAY, I'm the tutor for you!!! I've had 7 of my scripts made into films, including 4 of the American Pie films (of which I co-produced two), Slap Shot 2, and Last Call, and sold an FBI procedural TV show to Jerry Bruckheimer Films (Top Gun, CSI). I'm currently the Executive Producer & script consultant on the feature film The Bricklayer, starring Aaron Eckhart and Nina Dobrev, being released theatrically worldwide summer of 2023. I've completed dozens of writing assignments for studios such as Disney, Universal, Fox, Warner Bros, and Paramount. I can teach you the skills and insights you can't learn in a book but only from experience as a WGA professional screenwriter for over 20 years. I graduated from USC film school with honors & have my Master's Degree in English Literature from the American University of Rome, finishing first in my class. I've also completed Robert McKee's grueling Story seminar and have lectured and been a featured guest on countless screenwriting seminars in California. I've been privately tutoring screenwriters for over ten years and have successfully guided numerous students to agent signings, with one optioning their script to a major studio. I believe anybody with a high school equivalent of the English language can write a successful screenplay if given the right direction. I will teach you the fundamentals of writing a feature film screenplay, including concept, story outline, treatment, character, dialogue, and redrafting. I've also recently sold my first novel and would be happy to give notes or straight edits on short or long-form fiction. I have also helped students of previous students' children's college essays, which helped them get accepted at USC, UCLA, Berkeley, Stanford, Bates College, and Brown. If you or your children need help with this, I can offer guidance on navigating the tedious world of college applications. I so look forward to working with you. Sincerely, Erik L.

Perfect! Great tutor! A lot of insights, in depth knowledge of film and the industry. Really takes the time to understand student needs and projects !
Perfect! I have been working with Erik Lindsay for several months now and he has been extremely helpful. He read my scripts and has spent so much time and dedication helping me edit them. I am applying to graduate film schools, and he has been helping me with my applications. He helped edit my essays and gave me so much feedback and advice on how to submit my best work. I am so glad I started working with Erik, I felt like I have grown so much as a writer these pasts 5 months.
