About Owen
I am a passionate Saxophone tutor with 6 years of teaching experience, having successfully trained around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. I believe that learning music should be inspiring, disciplined, and enjoyable at the same time.
My teaching approach focuses on mastering the basics first. I guide students in posture correction, breath control, embouchure stability, tone production, and finger coordination. Once the foundation is strong, I introduce scales, rhythm studies, articulation techniques, and music theory. I ensure students understand both practical and theoretical aspects of music.
I customize my lessons according to each student’s learning style and pace. I use demonstrations, listening practice, and real song applications to make learning engaging. I also encourage improvisation to develop creativity and confidence.
My strength lies in motivating students to practice consistently and set clear goals. I focus on building technical skills along with stage presence and expressive performance.

I teach Saxophone using a disciplined and student-friendly approach guided by Communication, Accountability, and Integrity. I first understand the student’s musical goals and current ability. Then I create a personalized plan focusing on breath support, tone clarity, finger coordination, articulation control, and rhythm precision.
I encourage open communication so students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing challenges. Each lesson includes structured exercises and weekly practice assignments. Accountability helps students remain consistent and motivated. I carefully track improvement and adjust lessons when necessary. Integrity in my teaching means honest evaluation and patient guidance. In addition to Saxophone, I teach Music Theory, Jazz fundamentals, Harmony basics, and Performance preparation to build confident and skilled musicians.
