About Rebecca
I have worked in the performing arts industry my entire life, first appearing in the West End at the age of 12, and going on to build a varied career as a professional performer and theatre director.
Alongside my own directing/performance work, I have spent over a decade teaching singing and have successfully supported many students in gaining places at leading professional performing arts colleges and degree programmes.
I combine strong technical knowledge with a thoughtful, student-centred approach and value clear communication, curiosity, and creativity in my teaching.
I also hold a degree in Astrophysics from UCL, which reflects my analytical approach to learning and problem-solving.
Outside of teaching, I am a mum to a lovely little toddler and a children’s book author, both of which continue to inform my love of storytelling and communication.

My singing lessons are built around the belief that singing is speaking in pitch and rhythm, and that lessons should be a safe, supportive space where you have permission to play. I treat every student as an individual and guide them towards achieving the very best they can, at their own pace.
Where helpful, I approach singing from an acting perspective, particularly when working on musical theatre or acting through song.
We may explore the basics of singing anatomy to build healthy, confident technique. Lessons are typically 50 minutes long and suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to professional performers.
I hold an MA in Musical Theatre (Distinction) from the Royal Academy of Music, have over 10 years’ experience as a private singing tutor, and have worked extensively as a professional performer, director, as well as a function band singer across pop, jazz, and Motown.
