About Alice
I have been teaching the saxophone privately and in schools for over 10 years, and have also taught students of a variety of ages and backgrounds. Whether the student wishes to learn how to play their favourite tune or to be entered in for graded musical examinations, I am happy to assist with these goals. To inspire pupils, I enjoy recommending concerts and performances of an eclectic variety for them to attend. I believe this makes their learning more relatable to real life musical situations which can result in me tailoring my lessons to suit their personal interests, aiding them to maintain motivation and enthusiasm towards learning the saxophone. I also recommend music for pupils to listen to at home so they can develop their own personal taste.
Alongside teaching, I perform regularly in various venues, with other professional musicians around London. I feel as though this is important, as hopefully, what I am teaching will be relevant and relatable.
I have an up to date DBS certificate.

I am a passionate and experienced saxophone teacher who has honed a highly efficient and patient approach to music instruction. I am motivated and pro-active and enjoy working with people to reach their goals.
Alongside making sure that whatever goals the student has in mind are achieved, my main focus is making sure that each lesson is enjoyable and to ensure that we have a consistent level of communication (with the student or parent) to figure out the best approach for both of us.
I have experience teaching all ages and abilities. Whether you're a total beginner or someone who wants to continuing their learning, I'm happy to help. I have experience with entering students for ABRSM exams, if that is something you'd like to do.
I've have a BMus Hons in Jazz Saxophone and am a performer as well as a teacher and have experience in different styles of playing.
