About Analou
Hi, I'm Analou! I'm a licensed math teacher with over 10 years of classroom and tutoring experience, plus a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering that shapes how I explain math: logically, visually, and step-by-step. I've taught in traditional classrooms with 240+ students at a time, and I currently tutor middle schoolers virtually through a structured math program, so I know how to meet a student exactly where they are, not where the textbook assumes they should be.
What sets me apart is my focus on diagnosing why a student is stuck — not just re-teaching the same explanation louder. I catch foundational gaps in number sense, integer operations, and algebraic thinking before they snowball into bigger struggles in Algebra 1 or Geometry. I'm patient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy the moment when a concept finally "clicks."

Math Tutoring That Helps You Understand the WHY
Not Just Memorize the Steps
Hello there!
Does math make sense during the lesson but become confusing when you try solving problems on your own? Do fractions, negative numbers, or multi-step equations make Algebra harder than it needs to be?
I help middle and early high school students strengthen their math foundations, understand difficult concepts, and solve problems with greater confidence.
Here's what makes my lessons different:
1. Find the Missing Piece
Sometimes, the problem isn't the topic you're studying today—it's a skill from an earlier grade that never fully clicked. I identify those gaps first so we can address the actual problem instead of repeating what hasn't worked.
2. Understand the WHY Behind the Math
I use visual explanations, clear examples, and step-by-step reasoning to help you understand concepts rather than memorize rules. My goal is for you to know not only what to do, but why it works.
3. Practice Until It Clicks
You'll work through problems with my guidance, gradually build independence, and receive feedback on your mistakes. Each lesson includes a quick progress check so we can see what's improving and what needs more practice.
4. Learn at Your Pace
Whether you need to rebuild your foundation or are ready for more challenging problems, I'll tailor the lesson to your needs and goals.
**Subjects I Focus On**
- Pre-Algebra and integer operations
- Fractions, equations, and Algebra I foundations
- Early high school Geometry and coordinate geometry
- Targeted preparation for more advanced algebra, when appropriate
My lessons align with U.S. Common Core and Texas TEKS expectations for the relevant grade-level topics.
**Your First Lesson Is Free!**
Use the first lesson to experience my teaching approach, identify areas to work on, and see whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure to commit.
Let's make math more understandable, one skill at a time.

It was very interesting and fun!
I was her student way back in high school, and she explained it very well in every lesson we had tackled and it easy to understand because she taught us the process of sequence of solving a certain math problem.
it helped me understand math lessons better and made learning more enjoyable and easier.

The $30/hr rate covers everything: personalized lesson planning, worksheets or practice materials, and a quick progress note after each session so you can track improvement. All lessons are held online—no classroom rental or travel fees to worry about. I recommend weekly sessions for steady progress, especially when working through Algebra 1 or filling in skill gaps, but I'm flexible based on your schedule.
