Scholastic players and adult improvers frequently struggle with the plateau that follows initial growth. Truthfully, the transition from casual play to competitive structure is often brutal. I hold the FIDE Master title with a 2350+ Elo rating to anchor my instruction.

Beginners often miss the structural foundation required for long term success. I spent 7 years in tournament play culminating in a top 10 finish at the NSW Open. Chess is a hard game.
