About Favienne
Hello everyone! My name is Favienne and I am a cinematographer with over a decade of experience. I am a lecturer at multiple schools, including the American Film Institute Conservatory, of which I am a cinematography alum. I love teaching just as much as I love being on set. Helping students of this craft connect concepts and fully understand both the artistic side of cinematography as well as the technical side is such a special experience for me, as I remember when I had all these crazy ideas, and how much my learning process helped me connect all those crazy ideas to the actual tools needed to make that happen on camera. I can offer mixed tutoring of both the art and craft, but am happy to specialize in any area you may desire. We can curate your tutoring based on your needs! This is not only for cinematographers, but anyone in the film industry who wants a stronger knowledge of cinematography. After all, all the work that is done from wardrobe, PDs, directors, actors, etc all ends up going through the lens of the camera, and understanding this craft will only help you maximize your artistic capabilities!
