About Sophie
I’m a First Class Honours graduate with a B.A. in Applied Languages from the University of Limerick, where I studied Spanish, Irish, German, and Linguistics, and am currently studying a masters in translation.
I have a strong passion for languages and enjoy helping others learn, build confidence, and deepen their connection with the language.
I’ve been studying Spanish for 12 years and hold a B2 level on the CEFR scale. As part of my degree, I completed a co-op placement in an Irish-speaking secondary school, where I worked as a classroom assistant through both Irish and Spanish. I’ve also been tutoring the language for about a year.
My priority is that students feel confident and satisfied with their lessons, while seeing real progress in their Spanish. I hope to help learners rebuild their confidence and develop a genuine enjoyment of the language.

Sophie is a wonderful teacher, my son has learned so much since starting with her, all classes are followed immediately with brilliant notes so he can run over everything before exams again, I’d highly recommend sophie , shes understand and kind and genuinely cares about her students learning
Sophie is kind and friendly. she always takes the time to explain everything in a way you understand. She condenses hard topics and gives the most important notes which are a lifesaver. Whenever I have questions that I need help with I can always contact her for help.
I've studied with Sophie at the University of Limerick and I have to say she is one of the most hard-working people I know. She has a very rich understanding of her subject areas and on top of that she is also a very patient and dedicated individual.
