About Sophie

I’m a First Class Honours graduate with a B.A. in Applied Languages from the University of Limerick, where I studied Spanish, Irish, German, and Linguistics, and am currently studying a masters in translation.

I have a strong passion for languages and enjoy helping others learn, build confidence, and deepen their connection with the language.

I’ve been studying Spanish for 12 years and hold a B2 level on the CEFR scale. As part of my degree, I completed a co-op placement in an Irish-speaking secondary school, where I worked as a classroom assistant through both Irish and Spanish. I’ve also been tutoring the language for about a year.

My priority is that students feel confident and satisfied with their lessons, while seeing real progress in their Spanish. I hope to help learners rebuild their confidence and develop a genuine enjoyment of the language.

About the lesson

Lessons are typically an hour long, but I’m flexible if you need more or less time!

I have a year and a half of tutoring experience, and I tailor each session to the student's needs — whether that’s listening, comprehension, writing, speaking, or a combination of all skills.

The sessions are relaxed and student-led, meaning you decide what areas you’d like to focus on each week. I’m here to guide you in the direction that best supports your learning goals.
