About Joshua
I am a first-year Aerospace Engineering student at Loughborough University with an academic background in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford Foundation Year programme. I have always had a strong passion for mathematics, physics, engineering, and problem solving, which is what led me into aerospace engineering.

Outside of academics, I enjoy travelling, football, fitness, and learning about technology and space-related developments. I am a patient, approachable, and understanding person who enjoys helping others build confidence in subjects they may struggle with. Having faced academic and personal challenges myself, I understand that everyone learns differently, and I always aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment for students.

My lessons focus heavily on building mathematical confidence and helping students genuinely understand topics rather than memorising methods. During my time on the Oxford Engineering Science Foundation Year, I regularly helped classmates understand difficult concepts and explain problems in alternative ways when standard teaching methods were not always effective.
I understand from personal experience that maths and physics can feel overwhelming at times, especially when learning new concepts or facing learning difficulties. Because of this, I take a very patient and adaptable approach to tutoring, changing explanations and teaching styles to suit each student individually.
As an Aerospace Engineering student at Loughborough University with strong backgrounds in mathematics and physics, I aim to create lessons that are supportive, engaging, and focused on long-term understanding and confidence.
