About Erin
My name is Erin, and I am a third-year Advanced Political Science student completing my undergraduate degree. Originally from Neuchâtel, Switzerland, I was raised in British Columbia, Canada. My academic interests include political science, history, psychology, and gender studies, particularly the ways these fields intersect to shape our understanding of society.
I am passionate about politics and helping others understand the events, ideas, and institutions that have shaped our world. As a tutor, I strive to make complex topics approachable by breaking them down into clear, manageable concepts and connecting them to real-world examples. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can build both their understanding and confidence while developing a deeper appreciation for the subjects they are studying.

- Approachable, non-judgmental and supportive atmosphere
- Lessons begin by identifying the student’s goals and reviewing areas they may be struggling in. We then work through the material using explanations, examples, and discussion. Depending on the student’s needs, we may finish with practice questions, essay planning, exam review, or a personalized study strategy
- I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and being able to learn the way that suits them best. My goal is to help students develop real understanding and confidence
- My lessons are for middle school and high school students working on Political Science, History, Gender Studies or Psychology
- I can help with introductory and intermediate-level coursework, exam preparation, essay planning, understanding concepts, and developing effective study strategies.
