About Soma
Hi there! Firstly, my name is Soma, and I'm 14 years old (8th grade advanced student). I've always had a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge and I would do that for younger primary school students, relatives, friends, etc. Although my first time working as a professional tutor, I make it a priority to ensure my student's comfort, learning and their enjoyment! My first sessions are always dedicated to getting to know my students, doing introductions, and figuring out our levels at mathematics, whether it be basic 6th-grade algebra, or multiplication tables. I'm always open to receive feedback from students and their parents on my tutoring sessions to be accommodating. So a few fun facts about me, - I wear a hijab :) - I love writing, reading, chess and painting! And I will love teaching you!

I provide homework support for students who struggle with what they learn in class as well as a few fun activities in following sessions after getting to know you!
Session structure:
- Introductions, greetings! :)
- Planning and figuring out concepts from previous lessons or new ones that need support and extensive help.
- Teaching and revising
- Independent student application w/ corrections
- Summary, conclusion and goodbyes!
My sessions are aimed for primary school students from Kindergarten to Yr6 and can range from 45 minutes to 1 hour and a half long, depending on my student and their guardian's needs.
I make it a priority to keep contact with my student's guardians and update them on their child's progress, enthusiam and approach to learning.
(My sessions take place over facetime)
