Kim has a plethora of techniques and tricks up his sleeves to help you with your game. Because he has taught a ton of lessons to other students from a variety of backgrounds, he can switch techniques to suit your needs.
Kim is an amazing instructor. I’ve been taking lessons online with him for just under a year. He has a way of breaking things down so simply. He’s understanding and truly looks to make you the best player you can be!
Each lesson is full of jokes keeping the environment lighthearted while providing instruction, drills, and critiques.
I’ve enjoyed each and every lesson with Kim. If you’re looking for an instructor with the knowledge to take your game up a notch he’s the one you’ve been searching for! Truly appreciate everything you’ve done for me Kim! You’re the best!!Kim is awesome! I am currently an apa 7, tap 6 and have a fargo right around 500. Just started taking lessons and can already see an improvement in my game. My daughter(9) is just beginning and taking lessons as well, she loves it. Great teaching style for kids and adults both!
Kim and I met a few years ago at a tournament. I had been hoping and praying to find an instructor locally in my area. We scheduled my first lesson and I was so impressed with his calm nature, patience and understanding. Kim has helped me move up 2 skill levels so far. I would highly recommend spending some time with him and I guarantee you will leave his lesson feeling that your time with him was worth while.
I am a PBIA advanced instructor and an ACS level 3 instructor. I still take lessons & Kim is one of my own personal go to instructors. He takes the time to truly understand you, the way you learn and what your goals are. He then tailors his instruction specifically to meet your unique needs. Kim not only makes me a better player, but he makes me a better instructor. You are in good hands with Kim.
My wife and I were lucky to find Kim about 3 years ago when our progress stalled. After one lesson we were hooked on what he was able to teach and how he did it. We have been seeing him regularly ever since. Kim makes it fun and challenging. He’s easy to work with and makes you feel comfortable no matter what you know (or don’t - yet). I also became a certified instructor with Kim and have worked with over 60 students.
I met Kim roughly 2 years ago prior to ever holding a cue for more than a month. I fell in love with the game of pool very early on and sought help because I couldn’t even hold the ball straight . When I sent him an email showing a video , he said not even 30 mins will be needed we can fix that stance . I laughed to be honest . I thought he was full of it. When I say not even 30 mins , I kid you not within 30 mins I was cueing like an arrow and left that room with 6 months or more of progress . I have made that 3.5 drive ever since regularly and reach levels in my game that make most people say I’m a liar when I tell them I’m 2 years in. Kim truly is the best of the best and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough truly. On top of his expertise , knowledge of everything you could need to improve , his personality , humility , humor and genuine passion for teaching that radiates off of him is something you won’t find anywhere else. Team dragon for life !
I give Kim my highest recommendation. He is special because he is personally skilled in both the craft pool playing AND teaching. Moreover, he is both a natural and a disciplined, research, and data driven expert. You will get practical instruction that feels like you are learning from a master, but will also see that there is no absence of rigor or formal methodology. Kim is also an extremely pleasant person to spend time with, which is a blessing if you intend to devote a lot of time under instruction. Lastly, the results are incredible. My game went into warp drive under his guidance, and I also have the tools to regain ground when I lag due to time away from the game due to work.
I first heard about Kim through a friend, and I’m so glad I decided to reach out. I scheduled a full-day lesson even though I live nearly two hours away, and the drive was absolutely worth it. From the moment we met, Kim’s patience and professionalism stood out. He took the time to really understand my style as a pool shooter, carefully analyzing my fundamentals and alignment to help me improve.
What made the experience even better was the great conversation we had, both about billiards and life in general. Kim is not only a knowledgeable instructor but also a genuinely enjoyable person to spend the day with. I left the lesson feeling motivated and more confident in my game. I’m already looking forward to working with him again in the future. Thank you Kim!During my instructor certification process with Kim, he consistently demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a commitment to addressing my inquiries thoroughly.
His continued availability and insightful analogies, even two years later, underscore his comprehensive understanding and dedication.
Highly recommended!I've known Kim for several years now, and he's always been there to help guide me along my billiards journey. First as a player and then as an instructor. He's always patient with me, but also firm with me when I need it. He's seen me grow not only as a billiards enthusiast but also as a person who is putting in the work. I highly recommend him for all your billiards needs and goals. He's a great guy and an amazing teacher.
I have taken lessons with Kim many times in person. I have also had the man send me many videos dedicated to me and my area of need for improvement. He is a total pleasure to know and work with. If this man can't help your billiards game then you need to switch to golf or darts.
He spends the time to talk about things you wouldn’t think of that are still very important, yet doesn’t waiste your time, his lessons are definitely worth while
