About Andy
Oxford PPE | Top-Ranked Student | International Applicant
I graduated from Oxford University in 2025 with a First-Class degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), ranking top 10 in my year. I was admitted to Balliol College, which has an acceptance rate for PPE of just 5% — the most competitive out of all Oxford colleges.
What makes me a little different: I'm Chinese-Canadian, so I grew up in Canada and had to figure out Oxbridge admissions entirely from scratch, with no school network or local guidance to lean on. I know how opaque and intimidating the process can feel from the outside, as well as how to break through it.

I work with students applying to Oxford, Cambridge, and other top UK universities, with a particular focus on...
- Test preparation: I achieved a 99th-percentile TSA score and can teach the reasoning patterns and revision strategies that make the difference
- Personal statements: I know what admissions tutors are looking for, and how to make your application feel distinctive rather than formulaic
- Interview coaching: Oxford-style interviews are unlike anything most students have practised for; I can demystify the format and build your confidence
- Subject knowledge: I can guide your growth in Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and related disciplines
I'm especially keen to work with international students, who often face greater challenges in navigating UK university applications.
