About Mitch
I got my Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga & my Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technical University. I teach Intro to Programming for Engineers at a local university (you can search my name on ratemyprofessors) where I work with class sizes of 80-90 students to cover material.
During my time in academia, my college job was tutoring mathematics at the start of my academic career (age ranges starting at middle school level up through college level courses), which evolved to teaching undergraduate engineering level courses when I was going for my Master's Degree.

When it comes to teaching, I am a firm believer in applying the problems to real life. This aids in learning by letting my students know why they are learning the content, and to what end it will help them in the future. My typical plan for teaching is too start by teaching the principles and theory, move to simple example problems, and then move to real world examples to help aid in learning. This methodology is what sets me apart from most other teachers in that I challenge my students to think for themselves and work on their comfort and independence from me instructing them. My lessons for any material I teach are personally customized to my students which can range from any age.
