About Deejay
Hello!
My name is Deejay, and I am a full-time Drama and Music Teacher at a secondary school, where I have been teaching for the past three years. I deliver both KS3 and KS4 curricula, including Pearson BTEC and GCSE qualifications, helping students develop their creativity, confidence, performance skills, and understanding of the performing arts.
Alongside my school teaching, I am the owner and principal of P3 Performing Arts, my own stage school dedicated to nurturing young performers in drama, musical theatre, and music. I have over nine years of teaching experience across schools, stage schools, private tuition, and online learning, working with students of all ages and abilities throughout the UK.
I hold both a BA and an MA in Musical Theatre and remain passionate about performance myself. My journey into teaching began during university when I ran the Musical Theatre Society, leading workshops in acting, singing, acting through song, mime, mask work, ensemble building, and performance preparation. I was responsible for fundraising, casting, directing, and producing the society's annual productions, experiences that sparked my passion for education and developing young talent.
Since then, I have taught across Liverpool, Preston, Manchester, and beyond, delivering both one-to-one coaching and group classes. During the pandemic, I successfully transitioned my teaching online, embracing the opportunities that virtual learning provided and continuing to support students remotely.
In addition to my secondary school role and P3 Performing Arts, I continue to work within performing arts education and have extensive experience preparing students for auditions, performances, and examinations. I have taught LAMDA examinations for over four years, providing focused, personalised coaching that helps students develop strong technical skills, effective communication, and the confidence to perform at their best under exam conditions.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory session, giving us the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your current experience and abilities, and identify the areas you'd most like to develop. This helps me create a tailored learning plan that supports your individual goals and interests.
As a full-time secondary Drama and Music Teacher, owner of P3 Performing Arts, and with over nine years of teaching experience, I work with students of all ages and abilities, from primary school through to sixth form, university applicants, and adult learners.

My teaching philosophy centres around helping performers discover their authentic voice and confidence. I believe the strongest performances come when students realise they don't need to be anyone else—they simply need the tools and confidence to be themselves.
Every lesson is adapted to the individual learner. I take time to understand each student's goals, strengths, and preferred learning style, creating a supportive environment where questions are encouraged, mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process, and creativity can flourish.
I aim for lessons to be engaging, challenging, and enjoyable. Building confidence and developing skills should be exciting, and I believe students make the most progress when they feel comfortable, supported, and motivated.
Alongside teaching KS3 and KS4 Drama and Music, including GCSE and Pearson BTEC qualifications, I continue to coach students privately online and in person. I have extensive experience preparing students for LAMDA examinations, auditions, performances, and further study within the performing arts industry.

Deejay helped me realise that to be a performer it wasn’t about putting on an act. When I was back in college he saved me when it came to the exam season. Not only did he select my exam pieces for me he sacrificed a few hours here and there to make sure I was as ready as I could be for both my exams and my drama school auditions (without charge!!). If it wasn’t for Deejay I definitely wouldn’t have got into GSA and most certainly wouldn’t be at The London School of Musical Theatre now!!!
He’s honestly so fab, I would highly recommend Deejay to everyone looking to refine and enrich their performing skills.
