About Hena
Hi! I’m Hena, a New York-based professional with a strong academic background, including a 35 ACT score and Honors College distinction from Rutgers University. I enjoy helping students build confidence and reach their goals, whether that’s improving their ACT score or creating a resume they feel proud of.
My approach is straightforward and personalized. I focus on breaking concepts down in a way that actually makes sense and tailoring sessions to what each student needs most. I’ve also spent time mentoring and training others in my professional role, which has helped me develop a teaching style that is both structured and adaptable.
Outside of tutoring, I love staying active through running and skiing, traveling, and music. I play guitar and sing, and I try to bring a positive, supportive energy into every session so students feel comfortable and motivated

I take a personalized, results-driven approach to both ACT prep and resume coaching. As a 35 ACT scorer and Honors College graduate, I focus on teaching students how to think through problems, not just memorize strategies. For ACT prep, I break down each section into clear patterns, timing strategies, and targeted practice based on individual strengths and weaknesses.
For resume coaching, I work with both high school and college students to craft compelling, polished resumes that clearly communicate their impact, whether for internships, college applications, or leadership opportunities. I help students translate their experiences into strong, results-oriented bullet points.
A typical lesson includes a mix of concept review, guided practice, and actionable feedback, with clear takeaways after every session. My goal is to build confidence, improve performance, and equip students with skills that extend beyond the test or resume!
