About Julien
I am an experienced Guitar tutor with over 12 years of teaching college students. My aim is to make guitar learning simple, creative, and effective for every student.
My teaching style is friendly and adaptable. I understand that college students have busy schedules, so I design lessons that are focused, flexible, and goal-oriented. I help students learn at a steady pace without pressure.
I use innovative teaching techniques such as song-based lessons, structured warm-up exercises, and technique-focused drills. Students learn chords, strumming, finger picking, and rhythm while playing real songs. I also use backing tracks to build confidence.
Music theory is explained in an easy and practical way so students can understand how it works on the guitar. I also encourage creative activities like improvisation and simple composition.
I believe learning music should be enjoyable and motivating. I support students with clear feedback and encouragement. My goal is to help college students develop strong guitar skills and a lifelong love for music.

I teach Guitar with a strong emphasis on creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. My lessons encourage students to develop their own style, improvise, compose, and explore music in ways that inspire and engage them.
Critical thinking is an important part of my methodology. I guide students to analyse songs, understand music theory concepts, and solve challenges independently. This approach helps them become versatile and confident musicians.
Accountability ensures steady progress. I help students set realistic goals, practise effectively, and reflect on their achievements. Positive reinforcement and regular feedback boost motivation and self-confidence.
Besides Guitar, I teach music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance skills. Lessons are flexible and tailored to each student’s abilities, pace, and musical interests, making learning both effective and enjoyable.
My goal is to mentor students into becoming independent, creative musicians who enjoy exploring and expressing music freely.
