About Areeba
Greetings! My name is Areeba, and I have a passion for both teaching and the world of finance.
With 3+ years of experience in finance and 6 years as a tutor, I have developed a deep understanding of the subject matter and an effective teaching style that resonates with students. I hold a graduate degree in Finance, where I honed my expertise in various financial disciplines and graduated at the top of my class.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, including high school as well and college students as well as professionals seeking to enhance their financial acumen. This exposure has strengthened my ability to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.
I am committed to creating a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and making mistakes—because learning is a journey that involves trial and error. I believe having graduated not so long ago gives me an edge with students as they are able to connect with me more easily. this connection allows me to better understand their obstacles and help them overcome them.

As a finance tutor, my approach is centered around empowering students to truly understand and excel in the world of finance. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of financial concepts.
I begin by assessing each student's individual needs, strengths, and areas for improvement. This allows me to tailor my teaching approach and materials to suit their specific learning style. Whether they are struggling with basic concepts or seeking advanced guidance, I adapt my lessons to meet their unique requirements.
I break down complex financial concepts into digestible chunks, using real-world examples and practical applications to make them relatable and easier to grasp. I encourage active participation, asking thought-provoking questions, and engaging in discussions to deepen understanding.
In addition to providing clear explanations, I offer a variety of resources, including study materials, practice exercises, and supplementary reading materials, to reinforce learning and encourage independent study. I am also available for ongoing support and clarification outside of tutoring sessions, ensuring students have the guidance they need whenever questions arise.

Areeba has been my mentor during GCSE’s. Not only was she well-versed with the curriculum but also had a tailored tutoring style. Considering how I struggled with maths, she devised lessons for me where we first went through the basics, revised formulas and then practised questions together. That left me feeling confident about the lesson. She has a very positive and ‘you can do this’ attitude which was super helpful for me when I struggled with maths.
