About Asma
Assalamu Alaikum, dear students,
I want to be your Quran tutor as well as Literacy and Numeracy Tutor (K-6). I believe that learning to read, understand and recite the Quran is one of the most important acts we can do as Muslims. Teaching the Quran allows me to share this blessing with others and help you strengthen your relationship with Allah.
I have dedicated myself to learning proper Quranic recitation with Tajweed, and now I want to pass on this knowledge to you. Whether you are just beginning to learn or you are looking to improve your recitation, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
In addition, I am a Conditionally accredited Primary Teacher with Masters of Teaching from Charles Sturt University. I bring in extensive experience of teaching English to students of other languages. I am also familiar with the NSW Curriculum and have worked as a Year 5 Classroom Teacher and CRT for k-6.

I begin by assessing the student’s level in Qaida or Quran recitation. For beginners, I start with the Noorani Qaida to help them learn Arabic letters and pronunciation (Tajweed).
I emphasize proper Tajweed from the start. I break down the rules and explain them in simple terms, giving examples and practice exercises.
A standard lesson is usually around one hour. For younger children, I may adjust to a shorter session to maintain their focus.
I have experience teaching both children and adults how to read and recite the Quran with proper Tajweed. I’ve worked with students of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
I teach boys until the age of 10 & no age limit applies to girls/women.
