About Lu
I am a calm, gentle, and supportive tutor who believes learning should never feel intimidating. My goal is to be both a teacher and a helper — someone you can always reach out to without fear of judgment. I know every student learns differently, so I take time to break concepts down step by step, re-explaining them in new ways until they truly make sense. I especially enjoy working with middle and high school students, but I also have experience supporting elementary learners, as well as students with disabilities and autism. My teaching style is patient and adaptable, creating a safe environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. More than anything, I want students to know I’m here for them — not just as a tutor, but as a steady, encouraging presence who will always go the extra mile to help them succeed.

My teaching style is calm, patient, and flexible. I believe every student learns differently, so I break down concepts in multiple ways until the material clicks. I never rush, and I’m always willing to spend extra time making sure my students feel confident and supported.
I enjoy working with middle and high school students, though I’m comfortable with elementary as well. I have experience helping students with disabilities and autism, and I take pride in creating a safe, encouraging environment where they can thrive.
A typical lesson plan begins with reviewing what the student is currently learning in school. From there, I identify any areas of difficulty and use step-by-step explanations, examples, and practice problems to reinforce understanding. I also dedicate time to homework help, guiding students through assignments and showing them strategies to approach similar problems independently.
What sets me apart is my dedication to adapting lessons to each student’s needs. Whether it’s re-explaining a concept in new ways, slowing down the pace, or offering extra practice, I make sure the student walks away not just with the right answers but with true confidence in their abilities.
