About Julian
I have 7 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Performing Arts. Throughout my career, I have taught beginners, choir singers, aspiring performers, and experienced vocalists who wanted to strengthen their technique. I enjoy helping students discover the confidence to express themselves through music.
One learner joined my classes after struggling with stage fright during school performances. We gradually built confidence through breathing exercises, vocal technique, and regular performance practice in supportive environments. Within a few months, the student successfully performed a solo at a regional music competition with confidence and expressive stage presence.
I believe every voice has unique qualities that deserve individual attention rather than comparison with others. My classroom encourages patience, creativity, and consistent practice while creating a positive atmosphere where students feel comfortable experimenting with their voices. Watching learners perform confidently after overcoming personal challenges is one of the greatest rewards of teaching.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy attending live concerts, studying vocal pedagogy, and exploring music from different cultures to bring fresh inspiration into every lesson. These experiences help me create engaging classes that balance technical development with artistic expression. I begin by listening carefully to each student's natural voice before planning individual lessons. This helps me understand vocal strengths, areas for improvement, and personal musical goals. Every class follows a structured plan while allowing flexibility for creative exploration.
Breath control exercises strengthen vocal stability and help students sing comfortably without unnecessary strain. Ear training activities improve pitch recognition through listening, repetition, and practical singing exercises. Vocal warm-ups are carefully selected to develop healthy technique and prepare the voice for every session.
Students explore pop, classical, choir, and musical theatre styles according to their interests and performance aspirations. Harmony practice develops musical awareness while encouraging confident ensemble singing with other performers. Recording activities allow learners to evaluate their progress and refine tone, expression, and overall vocal quality.
Stage presence is developed through performance simulations that build confidence in front of an audience. Students preparing for competitions, auditions, recordings, music schools, or live performances receive structured coaching based on realistic performance expectations. Every lesson concludes with personalized practice routines that encourage consistent improvement while protecting long-term vocal health.
