About Benji
I am a passionate Piano tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience, helping college students build strong musical skills with confidence. I believe that every student learns in a different way, so I adjust my teaching methods to match each student's learning speed, interests, and goals.
My lessons focus on building a strong foundation in piano playing, including finger techniques, hand coordination, music reading, rhythm, scales, chords, and musical expression. I explain every concept in simple English so that students can understand easily without feeling overwhelmed. I encourage students to ask questions freely because I believe learning becomes more effective through open communication.
I use innovative teaching methods to make every class enjoyable and practical. Instead of only teaching from books, I include interactive exercises, real-life examples, listening activities, digital learning resources, and step-by-step practice routines. I also break difficult songs into smaller sections, making them easier to learn and remember. This approach helps students improve faster while enjoying the learning process.
I regularly monitor each student's progress and provide helpful feedback after every lesson. I identify areas that need improvement and create personalized practice plans to help students overcome challenges. My goal is not only to teach students how to play songs but also to help them understand music and become independent learners.

My teaching philosophy is based on creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable learning piano. Every lesson is planned according to the student's needs, making learning both enjoyable and effective.
Real-life examples make every lesson easier to understand. Students learn rhythm through familiar daily activities and understand music theory by connecting it with songs they enjoy. Practical case studies help students apply musical ideas in real performances.
Understanding is the heart of my teaching. I patiently explain every lesson until students are confident with the topic. Building a strong foundation is more important than learning quickly.
Communication is always open and supportive. I encourage students to ask questions, share their ideas, and discuss any challenges. Regular feedback helps them improve continuously.
Integrity is one of my core values. I teach with honesty, professionalism, fairness, and dedication. Besides piano, I also teach keyboard, music theory, ear training, sight reading, improvisation, accompaniment, rhythm exercises, and beginner composition.
