About Dr Alexander
As a lecturer and tutor with a robust academic background, I bring a wealth of experience to my teaching. I hold an undergraduate degree in Human Geography with Politics, a master's in International Development, and a PhD in Geography. This diverse educational journey provides me with a deep, interdisciplinary understanding. For five and a half years, I worked as a university lecturer in Human Geography, where I honed my ability to teach complex concepts and support students in their academic growth. My experience extends beyond the university lecture hall; I am also a seasoned private tutor, having successfully guided students at GCSE, A-level, and university levels. My tutoring practice focuses on providing tailored, one-on-one support that addresses individual learning needs and helps students build the skills they need to excel.

My standard rate is £50 per hour for 1-on-1 coaching, which is perfect for a "Power Hour" to unblock your ideas, map out an essay structure, or prepare for a specific deadline.
For ongoing support and heavier workloads, I offer discounted bundles and fixed-rate packages:
5-Session Pack (£225): Saves you £25. Perfect for planning, writing, and reviewing a standard mid-term essay.
10-Session Pack (£425): Saves you £75. Ideal for semester-long accountability or pacing out a dissertation.
Standard Proofreading: £20 per 1,000 words (grammar, spelling, referencing).
The "Dissertation Rescue" Package (£350): The complete peace-of-mind solution. Includes 3x 1-hour coaching consultations (Start, Middle, End) PLUS a full proofread of up to 10,000 words.
