About Kera
I am a passionate educator, behavior specialist, and success planner. I have been writing, teaching, and success coaching for the past decade. I work full-time as an Education Development Specialist for kids with learning disabilities, and mental health struggles, and love working with anyone who falls into the neurodiverse landscape. I feel strongly about setting young people up for success and want to reach/help as many students as possible.
I am an advocate for creating a level playing field for all students, and for creating learning plans that foster curiosity and lifelong learning, along with the ability to problem solve and think analytically.
I specialize in working with adolescents, teens, and young adults, but is always happy to hang out with elementary-aged kiddos.
I am a bookworm, graduate student, animal lover, art and theater fan, and outdoor adventurer, and am always on the hunt for new research to help the kids I work with.

Do you or your student struggle with focus, anxiety, overwhelm, depression, low motivation or a combination of it all? I integrate Behavior Coaching with Academic Success Skills specifically tailored for neurodiverse students. Schools are not designed for all brains and often set neurodiverse students up for frustration and failure.
I specialize in helping neurodiverse students and students struggling with mental health issues to find the right combination of skills, strategies, and habits to create their success plan.
I focus on coaching students through developing foundational skills to cope with the difficulties and struggles that come with neurodiversity/mental illnesses, to succeed overall, while using their current course load and goals to teach those vital, life-long skills for success.
Neurodiverse students struggle with executive functioning and the ability to regulate. Much of my work with students focuses on developing these cognitive functions, to give students the strategies they need to succeed alongside neuro-normative peers, in environments that require high-executive functioning for success.
My goal with students is to empower them with the cognitive coping tools to succeed in any class, at any time, rather than simply tutor them in a single subject.
