About Anne
I am an experienced editor and teaching assistant; I've been an editor for several literary publications, and I am an expert in what makes an essay/poem/presentation great and not just good!
I have an in-depth understanding of university-level literary and cultural theory, and have written and edited essays and presentations on a variety of subjects including Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity and Canadian legislation.

My goal is to help students become independent editors of their own work! My classes are ideal for college/university students who are adjusting to academic writing.
My teaching method relies on curiosity and compassion; asking students in depth questions about their work helps to reveal the potential weaknesses of a paper and strengthen the overall argument by addressing them. Bringing an argument down to the conversational level allows students who are struggling with academic writing to reconnect to the basic components of communication.
