About Mareesha
Hi, I'm a passionate and approachable Maths tutor who truly enjoys helping students build confidence in a subject that many find challenging. My interest in tutoring began when I helped a younger sibling through their GCSE Maths revision —it was rewarding to see their understanding grow, and that sparked my journey into teaching. With four years of experience teaching maths at Kumon, I've worked with students of all ages and skill levels to build strong foundational skills and boost their confidence. I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, helping each student develop independent problem-solving abilities and a genuine interest in maths. I believe every student learns differently, and my job is to unlock their unique way of understanding Maths.

In my lessons, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. A typical session starts with a quick recap of previous topics, followed by tackling new concepts using step-by-step explanations and interactive problem-solving. I tailor each lesson based on the student's needs—whether that's simplifying abstract ideas with visual aids, using real-world examples, or focusing on past paper questions for exam prep. I focus on mainly A level and GCSE students with hour sessions as many times needed a week.
