About Viyas
I am a 5th year Lancaster Medical student and have been tutoring privately for the last 3 years.
I studied at Wilsons Grammar and my A-level grades were A*AA ( Biology, Chemistry and Physics) with an A in AS Mathematics. EPQ - A*. GCSE's: 9A*, A, B
Having been through 3 MMI interviews and 1 Panel, I am familiar with a range of formats. As a student admissions representative for Lancaster Medical school, I have experience designing MMI stations and am well versed with MMI interview preparation.
My students who have applied to Medicine have a 100% success rate so far with each student getting both the grades and the offers to study at the following universities: St George's, Imperial, Southampton and UCL.
Although my focus is mainly A level Biology, I also have experience teaching GCSE Biology in schools as part of Outreach program in Lancaster.
Having passed finals, I am currently intercalating in a Msc in Global Mental Health at King's College and the London school of hygiene and tropical medicine. It would be a great pleasure for me to help students do their best in Biology at all levels and to succeed in their UCAS applications regardless of the students starting ability.

My teaching method is entirely adaptive and based on the students strengths, weaknesses and learning style.
Methods used to improve confidence, grades and enthusiasm for the subject include Past papers, quizzes, core concept and principle explanation.
I also provide concise resources and adapt my lessons according to varying needs and commitments of the student.

Students who I tutor A level Biology ( minimum 3 paid lessons) and need help with personal statements, interview and Medicine UCAS preparation, I offer up to 2 hours of free tutoring, followed by a reduced rate of £5/half hour.
