About Sofia
My name is Sofia, and I'm a medical student at the University of Auckland. I've moved to Tauranga to work in Tauranga hospital.
I've realised over the last 15 years that learning can be hard, and having a good teacher can make all the difference. I am a teacher who is passionate about their subject and kind when things are difficult. I also want to challenge my students in the subject they are learning, in a way that makes them feel confident about their knowledge! I know pre-medicine is hard, and help with some of the more difficult concepts in the core courses would've been useful for me when I was in your shoes.
When I'm not teaching or studying, I love to hike around New Zealand, travel and spend time at the beach.

Hi there! My name is Sofia, and I'm a Medical Student at the University of Auckland. I love medicine, and am looking to teach students interested or struggling with pre-med. I will go over the core subjects, interview technique or any other questions you have around the topic.
Teaching style: I tend to focus on practice questions as the basis for my teaching. Using test/exam scenarios to learn the details of a subject has proved effective for me in the past. Having said this, I expect to cater to the way my students learn and think, and am flexible on how I run a session.
Session time: either A) 30 minutes or B) 1 hour.
Who are these lessons for?: Students doing the pre-medical core subjects.
When and where: Sessions will largely be online, after 3 o-clock on weekdays. **Weekends can be arranged student to student.**
I am open to teaching anyone that thinks I am the tutor for them!
