About Sahana
I have been tutoring since my A-levels and find it to be so fulfilling. It reinforces my own knowledge and I enjoy discovering how different people learn in different ways.
I started teaching medicine-related subjects in my 2nd year of medical school, where I helped 1st year students with revision. Since then, I have joined several medical education organizations e.g. OSCEazy, CU Surgical Society, CU Cardiology society to deliver revision lectures.
I have also successfully helped students prepare specifically for their end-of-year 2 resit exams over the summer
I host a medical revision podcast as well "The OSCEazy Podcast" and have conducted several online preclinical lectures for students from all over the UK and beyond

My lessons are typically 1-1.5 hours long and my approach is to reinforce basic concepts first and build on them to create a strong foundation in a given subject.
I typically use a virtual whiteboard that both the student and I can edit and draw on simultaneously
I have a collection of animations, diagrams and presentations I've made for previous lectures I've delivered
I also encourage students to answer multiple-choice questions during the lesson as this reinforces learning and is beneficial for exam preparation

Sahana is very patient and explains concepts clearly. I have listened to a lot of her lectures and I can confidently say that her sessions have made me more confident with my medical school exams. She is very enthusiastic and has a very good understanding of medicine. She is also very approachable and I never feel embarrassed to ask her questions!
Sahana is a great teacher I have attended several of her teaching sessions in the past and she is great at consolidating high yield information in an easily digestible manner!
