About Emma
I have been working with children, since I was 11 years old. My earlier experience comes from working at the after school program and winter/summer camps at an elementary school in Bel Air for 7 years. I also have experience working as a pod tutor for a couple of families in the Los Angeles area to give all-around help on subjects learned in school.
Having gotten an education in English Literature at Northwestern University recently, I am interested in teaching Language Arts-related subjects to elementary school students. However, I am also experienced in and enjoy teaching math to elementary school students, as well.
I enjoy working with each individual student as they are and trying to figure out what specifically works for them when it comes to learning and retaining the subject matter we cover. My goal is to make a student feel better about and more prepared to handle the subjects that we cover together, so they may be able to use those skills without me in the future with confidence.
