About Melody
Hi, I'm Melody! I'm passionate about math, problem solving, and helping others. Not only do I help students succeed in their courses, I also love working with advanced students who want a challenge beyond the curriculum. I have over 200 hours of experience tutoring high school and university students (been tutoring since I was in high school!), and I'm currently doing a math teaching internship at an IB school.

I emphasize conceptual understanding. We'll move away from rote memorization- math isn't a bunch of arbitrary rules, they all tie into each other! We'll break it down bit by bit until it all makes sense, and develop a sense of intuition.
For high school students/parents:
I offer tutoring in all math and physics courses in the Ontario curriculum, as well as IB and AP mathematics. I also offer enrichment (contest math, teaching ahead, exploring whatever math topics are of interest to the student, etc.)!
For university students:
I can help with Calc 1-3, Lin Alg 1-2, Physics 1-2, proofs courses. I currently maintain a 94 average in my program. I'm great at explaining intuition behind why solutions work and how to approach unfamiliar problems. Especially if you're struggling with proofs in your classes, you should definitely contact me, since that's what I do all day! Price is negotiable for university students.
