About Mamta
Studying and getting a tutor can be daunting – I’ve been there. I started as a procrastinator who dreaded exam season and getting help, to embracing it – and you can too. Studying can be enjoyable, especially when balanced with hobbies.
I'm passionate about empowering students of all academic backgrounds and starting points, and I'm committed to unlocking every student's potential and guiding them toward their dreams.
Outside academia, I'm garnering experience for a career in Marketing or HR, reflecting my people-centric nature. I'm also an art enthusiast, running a small business in hand-painted custom clothing and accessories.

Hello! I'm a 3rd-year Politics and Sociology student at UCL, set to graduate in May 2024, having completed my qualification in December 2023. I've excelled academically, securing an A* in Sociology A Levels, A in Religious Studies (including Philosophy and Ethics), and an A in iGCSE English Language.
My journey in tutoring and mentoring began during my A Levels, assisting GCSE students in English and Philosophy and Ethics, where each student improved their grades by two to three levels. In my gap year, I volunteered abroad, tutoring children in slums across all subjects to foster holistic learning and boost their confidence. At university, I've supported socio-economically disadvantaged SATs students through Action Tutoring, enhancing their grades, study skills, and confidence by tailoring my approach to their unique needs and abilities. All my pupils showed remarkable progress, achieving pass marks in English (89%, 77%, and 73%).
I have achieved a First Class in several Politics and Sociology assessments. Alongside this, my 10,000-word dissertation explored migrants' experiences pre- and post-Brexit, refining my skills in crafting publishable essays. My teaching adapts to individual learning styles, employing evidence-based strategies like active recall and spaced repetition to enhance learning and retention, always aligned with exam board specifications.
Additionally, I offer mentoring for Russell Group university applications, drawing on my own experiences to improve personal statements and interview performance.
