About Ashley
I’m a medical student at Imperial. From a young age, I’ve always loved teaching and seized every opportunity to do so. I began as a teaching assistant at my local tuition centre, then volunteered as a tutor for younger students, and later tutored privately for 3+ years. In the future, I would love to teach more students and make a broader impact in the field of medical education. Tutoring is a passion of mine because it allows me to help students build confidence and achieve their goals. I find this extremely rewarding—especially since these exams and interviews represent hurdles that I myself have faced, so I fully appreciate how difficult they can be. As a tutor, I focus on building strong, long-term relationships with my tutees and learning how I can best support them. Tutoring is not a one-sided transaction but a learning process for both tutor and tutee.

My approach to tutoring is simple, effective, and student-centred. In the initial sessions, I focus on identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. I then tailor a study plan based on their individual needs and learning style. I strongly believe in the mantra "practice makes progress," so I incorporate lots of targeted practice followed by constructive feedback. Finally, I write progress updates at the end of each lesson to keep track of what is being covered.

UK Medical School Interviews (For Students preparing for medical school admission interview) - Having succeeded at all my interviews for medical school, I can help you do the same. In the past 3 years, I've helped students achieve interview success at top medical schools including Imperial, King’s College, Queen Mary’s (Barts), Southampton. One of my proudest moments as a tutor was helping a student secure four offers from four medical schools by succeeding in every interview! My sessions focus on understanding what examiners are looking for in answers, structuring responses and improving fluency through continuous practice.
A-level - 3+ yrs of experience tutoring at A level chemistry and biology. My deep understanding of exam patterns and up-to-date knowledge of the syllabus will be focused on helping my students build confidence and hone vital exam technique. I scored A*s in both subjects personally.
