About Arnav
I’m a 3rd-year medical student at Brighton & Sussex Medical School with a passion for helping students excel in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. With over a year of tutoring experience, I’ve guided GCSE students to improve grades, deepen their understanding, and build real confidence in their abilities. My teaching style is friendly yet focused—I break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and create lessons that are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I believe that learning should feel achievable and rewarding, and I’m committed to helping every student reach their potential. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to match their individual strengths, weaknesses, and goals. I use an interactive and proactive style—encouraging students to think critically, ask questions, and apply concepts rather than just memorise them. My lessons combine clear explanations with worked examples, exam-style questions, and active recall techniques to make learning engaging and memorable. Typical lessons are 60 minutes, structured around the student’s syllabus and personal targets. I begin with a quick recap of previous topics, introduce new content in manageable chunks, and then apply this knowledge through guided practice and exam questions. At the end, we summarise key points and set small, achievable tasks to reinforce learning. I’m a 3rd-year medical student at Brighton & Sussex Medical School with 1 year of experience tutoring GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. I have successfully helped students improve grades and confidence through tailored support. I tutor GCSE-level students aged 14–16, but I can also support younger students aiming to build a strong science and maths foundation before starting their GCSEs.
