About Karan
Hi, my name is Karan!
I am a General Surgery resident physician. I graduated from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2022. I completed a BS in Biology and Psychology from SUNY College at Old Westbury and an MS in Interdisciplinary biological and physiologic sciences from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. Throughout high school and well into my graduate education I have been tutoring and mentoring my peers and colleagues in various subjects such as algebra, geometry, biological sciences, and mentoring on getting into medical school, MCAT prep, and career planning.
I am hoping to connect with students to tutor various topics, but also if you need help with figuring out how to tackle standardized exams I can help! I have gone through some of the hardest exams you can take (USMLE and COMLEX) and have learned, the hard way, how to study efficiently for standardized exams even when you think you aren't a good test taker.

One of the main reasons I am passionate about tutoring and mentoring is that I used such resources throughout my pathway to success and would like to give back, in the same manner, someone had done for me. I enjoy being able to share my way of learning, which to some is unconventional but may make the difference between you memorizing topics to actually understanding the information to apply it even in situations where you don't know the answer.
I prefer to structure my lessons according to topics you are covering in a class or struggling with on a standardized test. The lessons are tailored to you at your level and so are appropriate for anyone from high school to medical school.
