About Xinyi
I’m a third-year UBC Electrical Engineering student with a strong foundation in Math, Calculus, and the Sciences.
I’ve been tutoring for over four years and have worked with a wide range of students—from children to adults—helping them build confidence and improve their academic performance. I’ve tutored subjects including Pre-Calculus 10–12, Calculus, and Chemistry 12, supported students preparing for Alberta diploma exams, and taught English as a Second Language (ESL).
Academically, I’ve completed up to Calculus IV and have been named to the Applied Science Dean’s List multiple times. In high school, I graduated with a final average of 98%, completing Math 30-1 (Pre-Calculus 12) and Math 31 (High School Calculus I) with 100%. I also have experience with the IB program, particularly in Math and Physics.
I am also fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, and I try my best to tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs and goals.
