About Laura
This is my 15th year as an elementary school teacher in Illinois. I have an IL. Teaching license and an endorsement in Special Education and English Language Learners. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. My students come from diverse backgrounds and often speak more than one language. My goal is to foster community through diversity and fun in learning. I am a private tutor after school. I have worked in person and online. My classroom experience helps me develop individual lesson plans to promote a love of learning and a work ethic students will carry with them throughout their lives. My special education background helps me tutor students with ADHD, dyslexia, reading or math learning differences. I have had success with all my students and truly see their confidence grow as a result of our lessons together.

I am an elementary school teacher that tutors after school to meet the needs of all learners in a one to one approach. I Implement engaging lessons developed specifically to meet your students learning style and interests. I approach each student with compassion and a flare to have fun while learning. I use relevant topics and interests of today’s students. Enrich students who are excelling and need more challenging projects. I also tutor students who need support with ADHD, dyslexia, and reading and math learning differences. My one on one approach helps raise confidence and build solid foundational skills.
