About Carol
Ever wonder why calculus seems like a different language until you see how the pieces fit together? I realized early on that my Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Stanford University was only half the battle in teaching. After 7 years of working with 320 students, I found that my strength lies in rebuilding shaky foundations.
My approach is inherently structured and precise because I want you to feel confident during your exams. Engineering and STEM students often struggle with the transition from basic math to integration techniques and sequences. I provide free access to my worked solution notes to ensure you have a reference point for every concept we cover.
Whether you are an IB student or an aspiring engineer, I focus on the rules that govern derivatives and limits. This is how I help you move toward methodical problem solving.

Starting with the hardest problem first is often the fastest way to understand the core of a calculus concept. Most students find that this initial friction actually accelerates their learning process. My 7 years of experience in this field helps me guide you through u-substitution and definite integrals without unnecessary fluff.
Focus is key. We isolate the specific integration technique required for your exam and break it down. Applications of derivatives become much simpler when you have a clear strategy.
I expect you to bring your toughest questions so we can dismantle them together. My goal is to ensure you feel prepared for whatever your instructor puts on the paper. I look forward to working with you.
