About Henry
I am a Medical Student at the University of Nottingham I have been mentoring/tutoring students applying for medicine since I applied to Medical School myself in 2017/2018. My high 1st Decile UKCAT score and strong personal statement resulted in me receiving 3 offers and I was able to defer my place to take a gap year and work in hospital. Several of my mentees have had very successful applications with strong UKCAT scores, including 2 students who received offers from all four Medical School's they applied to.

I approach mentoring by first assessing your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to your application. I advise everybody I mentor to apply strategically to maximise their chance of success and the first step in this is assessing which schools are likely to consider your application most strongly.
When is comes to the UKCAT I start by giving advise on what books/resources are worth buying and which to avoid. I then give specific tailored advice on how to approach each section of the exam including how to cope with the intense time pressure. Once you have a good basic understanding of the exam I then like to focus on the sections you find most difficult to help boost your score

My rate is £25/hr. During in lessons I am happy to address any issues surrounding the UKCAT or BMAT as well as more general queries about applying to medical school. I also offer a Personal Statement service and am happy to read through students personal statements and give advice on how to write a perfect personal statement
