About Katie
I’m currently a Biological Sciences student interested in genomic counselling. I’m also currently a volunteer leader with the Staffordshire youth commission and regularly teach sessions on socially topical issues with them. In addition, I’m a dancer of 8 years and have periodically assisted lessons in this area.

Personally, I believe today’s method of teaching (particularly in state schools) do not prepare students adequately for active learning. My teaching is based around active recall and spaced repetition- two highly studied techniques around memorisation. In addition to this, I feel the tools needed are highly specific to the student and will be based around learning style.
