About Inaya
I am a 2026 IB Diploma Candidate, predicted 42/45 overall, including predicted 7s across all Higher Level Subjects. I began tutoring during the programme as a CAS experience, and through supporting other students I discovered my passion for helping others build confidence in their academic abilities. During my first year of the DP, I initially struggled to adapt to the demands of the IB, having previously studied in the British education system. However, through consistent effort, I managed to improve my academic performance and achieve 6s and 7s in my subjects in my final year.
My experience gives me an understanding of the struggles IB candidates face, and the importance of a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable enough to ask questions. I aim to create such an environment in sessions with my students and plan to tutor alongside my undergraduate degree, which I will begin in September of 2026.

I offer tutoring in IB History and IB Global Politics at both Higher and Standard Level. I primarily tutor students aged 16-19 studying the IB Diploma Programme, although I am happy to support younger students preparing to enter the IB. I can offer in person sessions in the Hertfordshire and London area. Online lessons are also available.
Having recently sat the IB Exams in the M26 session, I have first-hand experience of the demands of the syllabus, assessment criteria and understand what examiners look for when marking papers and internal assessments. I have experience supporting classmates and students studying IB History or Global Politics, helping them improve both subject knowledge and exam technique. My lessons are tailored around your syllabus, learning style and target grade to better assist you in achieving your goals for the course.
A typical lesson consists of a review of content, building case studies and examples, developing understanding of key concepts and guided exam practice with in-depth feedback. I can also provide support with Internal Assessments in our lessons, including topic selection, structure, source evaluation and meeting assessment criteria. Lessons typically last around 60 minutes, but I am flexible with timings and I am happy to accommodate as many sessions as required per week.
My History Specialisms are:
Paper 1: Road to Global War
Paper 2: 20th Century Authoritarian States (Mussolini's Italy, Mao's China, Hitler's Germany and Stalin's USSR) and 20th Century Wars (World War One, Spanish Civil War and Chinese Civil War)
Paper 3: History of Europe
Section 13: Europe and the First World War (1871–1918)
Section 14: Inter-war Domestic Developments in European States (1918–1939)
Section 15: Diplomacy in Europe (1919–1945)
My Global Politics knowledge covers a wide range of contemporary case studies which can be linked across all four Key Concepts and HL Extension topics to use in all papers.
