About Rohan
A confident, well-organised and diligent young man are often the words my teachers used to describe me during my time at St Paul's School and the junior school formerly, Colet Court. My teaching style I feel encompasses these three traits very well as I take a rather methodical and rational based approach to teaching and understanding where my student's strengths and weaknesses lay.
I provide an extremely in depth level of teaching which allows students to gain an optimal amount from a short space of time. This is done through a combination of adapting my teaching style towards the personality of my students, positive reinforcement and encouraging students to embrace their weakest topic areas first as well developing their strengths in an enjoyable manner.
The service provided by myself includes:
- Highest quality of teaching from somebody who has been on the academic ground very recently
- Individualised worksheets for students and the exam board they are sitting
- Access to my notes, exemplar essays and material that I used to obtain the top marks in the country
- Provision of Past Paper exams
- Feedback after every lesson
- Regular testing of assimilation of material
- Educational consulting including school and university choices with a specific knowledge of the ins and outs of the Oxbridge, top private and grammar schools' admissions process
Although my official tutoring experience of charging the customer is close to zero I have been doing this kind of work for the last ten years or so. Having earned offers and scholarships to some of the country's elite private schools and top grammar schools myself I then spent the next two years tutoring my younger brother in Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning and interview preparation. This allowed him to achieve places at Westminster School, my alma mater and various scholarships to Hampton School, Dulwich School and The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School.
I can teach any student, and because of my practical approach in explaining problems and solutions due to time restrictions help them achieve a better grade than when they first started.
