About Aurelia
I am a young, purposeful and dynamic tutor who can cultivate the support and drive that your child needs. It is important to me that my pupils know that the class is a safe environment where mistakes are ok, and even encouraged, as mistakes are key to improvement. In this safe space, I motivate my pupils to become more confident of their knowledge because the greatest key to improvement is to know that you can do it.
I am creative and patient in my teaching approach, catering for all ways of learning, and I firmly believe that each person must discover the way in which they learn best. I am eager to assist each of my pupils in discovering this for themselves.
I am currently in my first year at the University of Oxford, studying Lit Hum (Classics). It is an interdisciplinary course, covering language, literature, ancient history and philosophy, setting me up well to tutor a wide range of subjects. As well as being passionate about Classics, I am a keen modern linguist, being bilingual in French and English as well as having AS level Spanish. I really enjoyed all my A Level subjects, taking Latin (89%, A*), English (98%, A*), French (95%, A*) and Maths (91%, A). Having so recently done my A Levels, the courses I took as well as my experience of public exams are very fresh in my mind and I am more than happy to coach students through this important time.
