About Samuel
I'm a student at the University of Chicago Law School. I scored a 177 on the LSAT — 99th percentile — after a study process that involved many wrong turns before I found the approach that actually worked.
That experience shapes how I teach. I tutor students both in-person across Manhattan and Brooklyn and remotely, and I genuinely enjoy the puzzle of figuring out why a particular student is stuck and what it takes to get them unstuck. I focus on developing rules and techniques you can carry forward for future problems, the same strategy that helped me break out of my LSAT rut.
The LSAT is a learnable test — the patterns are consistent and the traps are predictable — and it's always satisfying watching a student go from frustrated to fluent on a question type they used to dread.

Every student I work with starts with a diagnostic to figure out where you are and determine patterns in what you're getting right and wrong. The LSAT rewards very specific thinking patterns, and most prep courses teach around them rather than through them. I know this because I spent time studying the wrong way before figuring out what actually works.
Sessions are built around your results and adjust to where you are the day-of rather than following a rigid plan. We drill the question types that move your score, work through your error patterns together, and build the kind of pacing and judgment you need under real test conditions. Study plans are structured but flexible — some students need intensive work on Logical Reasoning fundamentals, others need RC strategy or timing discipline.
I scored 177 and I'm a student at a T-6 law school. I tutor in-person in NYC and remotely, and I work with students at every level, from first-time test-takers to students targeting 170+.
