About William
Using sight singing and pitch control comes naturally to me because of my time at Berklee College of Music. I was practicing my head and chest voice, thinking about how the resonance changes when you shift, when I realized that vocal technique is just a physical conversation.
I have taught 131 students ranging from working professionals to grade exam candidates. My approach is to integrate singing with guitar playing because that is how you will actually perform. I focus on vibrato control and overall tone. You will find my teaching style playful and patient.

Pitch control is often the biggest hurdle even for singers who have practiced for years. I must admit that I still find my own voice to be my most challenging instrument. We begin every new student relationship with a diagnostic vocal assessment to see where you sit. I use my Berklee training to guide you through exam preparation and tone resonance.
We treat your voice like a professional athlete would treat their muscles. You will learn to navigate the bridge between your registers without strain.
My lessons are structured around the songs you choose to sing. It is important that you keep your voice strong and healthy through every session. I like to keep the atmosphere light while we refine your technique. We can start exactly where you are today.
